The Dash

²⁵Jesus also did many other things. If they were all written down, I suppose the whole world could not contain the books that would be written. (John 21:25)

Good morning fam. The song I am sharing at the end of this post is called “-[DASH]”. It is the new single by Crowder, featuring TobyMac. In the chorus, Crowder sings “There’s a day we’re born, there’s a day we pass. In between is a little dash”. Then Crowder proceeds to say “what on Earth am I doing?”.

As we see in the verse above, Jesus had a second dash. His first dash came between the first Christmas and then the day He gave up His spirit on the cross. But Jesus had a second dash, from when He rose again until the day He ascended to Heaven. As John writes, if all the things Jesus did in between that second dash were to be recorded, the books that could be written would cover the entire world.
